New Hope for Lomaivuna High U17 Rugby Team as FHCL Donates over $4,000 in Gear

The Fiji Hardwood Corporation Limited (FHCL) is proud to announce its recent donation of over $4,000 worth of training gear to the Lomaivuna High School Under-17 Rugby League team. The handover took place last Friday, reinforcing FHCL’s commitment to supporting local communities and nurturing young talent in Fiji.

In 2024, a fire damaged part of Lomaivuna High School, including the storeroom that housed the Under-17 rugby jerseys. This unfortunate incident left the team without essential gear. The donation of new jerseys and training equipment has been warmly received by the school’s Principal, Mrs. Litiana Romanu, who expressed deep appreciation for the support.

“The new jerseys will certainly raise the morale of the school’s Under-17 Rugby League team as they prepare to compete in the Central Zone Schools Rugby League Competition this year,” said Mrs. Romanu.

The donation includes sporting uniforms, muscle vests, and socks, which will help the team as they prepare for upcoming competitions. With these essential resources, the players will be better equipped to elevate their performance on the field. The Lomaivuna High School Under-17 Rugby League team has consistently demonstrated promise, and FHCL hopes this support will further motivate the students to excel both academically and athletically.
