General Manager: Mr Semi Dranibaka on FHCL mid year performance.

As we move through the first half of the year, Fiji Hardwood is proud to share the progress we’ve made despite facing some significant challenges, particularly those posed by the weather conditions. To date, we have achieved approximately 40% of our production target, a promising indicator of our resilience and commitment.

One of our primary focuses this year is the careful harvesting of our old-growth forests. We are on track to reach our goal of harvesting 50,000 cubic meters by the end of the year. This ambitious target requires collective effort and dedication across all levels of our organization.

We have made significant strides in strengthening our team, with the recruitment of key personnel in both our operations and administrative departments. However, as we assess our human resources, we recognize the need to further increase our capacity to ensure we meet our targets.

Our planning documents affirm that we are on the right path, and this year is shaping up to be one of both achievement and growth for Fiji Hardwood. We remain focused on our goals and committed to driving the company forward.
