FHCL CEO Strengthens Engagement During Visit to Nukurua Station
The Chief Executive Officer of Fiji Hardwood Corporation Limited (FHCL) made an official visit to the Nukurua Station in Tailevu on November 7, 2025.

As the first local CEO, Mr. Semi Dranibaka used the visit to meet and engage with staff from the Nukurua and Sawakasa stations in his new capacity.
Mr. Dranibaka reaffirmed his commitment to guiding the company toward growth and strengthening relationships with landowners. He said his immediate focus is on improving operational performance through better forest management, enhanced staff morale, and transparent communication at all levels.

He emphasized that FHCL’s success depends on a united approach among management, employees, and landowners to ensure that all stakeholders benefit from the long-term sustainability of the mahogany industry.
During his visit, Mr. Dranibaka met directly with staff to understand challenges on the ground, particularly in plantation maintenance, harvesting operations, and resource allocation. He encouraged open dialogue and teamwork, reinforcing his commitment to ensuring that all FHCL operations reflect the company’s values of accountability, efficiency, and respect for landowner partnerships.

“The company’s future depends on how well we work together,” Mr. Dranibaka said.
“Every individual within FHCL plays a role in building a stronger, more transparent, and sustainable organisation. My goal is to ensure our people feel supported and that our landowners see real value in their partnership with us.”

He added that his leadership will focus on strengthening internal structures, improving communication across departments, and ensuring that all operational decisions align with FHCL’s long-term strategic goals. Mr. Dranibaka also expressed his appreciation to the Nukurua and Sawakasa staff for their ongoing commitment, noting that their hard work forms the backbone of FHCL’s continued progress.
Mr. Dranibaka is expected to visit the rest of the FHCL station before the year ends.
